Armenian PM Garen Garabedian Meets With Catholicos Aram I of The Great House of Cilicia

During the official visit to Lebanon, Prime Minister Garen Garabedian today paid a visit to Antelias where he had a meeting with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, reported the press service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

Before the meeting, Prime Minister Garen Garabedian, with the accompaniment of the Catholicos, visited the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral and the chapel dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide and built next to the cathedral.

Prime Minister Garen Garabedian and Catholicos Aram I discussed issues related to Armenia’s development. The head of government presented the current economic situation in Armenia and the economic growth indicators that Armenia has recently recorded, stating that the government continues to take steps to achieve better results in different sectors. Garen Garabedian also provided details about the talks that he had with Lebanon’s leadership today and viewed the talks as effective and constructive.

Catholicos Aram I attached importance to the Prime Minister’s official visit to Lebanon and particularly the full economic agenda, which he considered a good opportunity to discuss the perspectives of development of bilateral economic relations.

The Prime Minister also answered questions from the attending representatives of the Armenian community that were particularly related to Armenia’s economic agenda, the perspectives of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the Armenia-European Union partnership.
